For this project we had an expanding family looking for a way to expand their kitchen and gain a recreation room for themselves and their children. The existing kitchen was oddly shaped and tough for entertaining guests and the main family room was just too small for the 5 soon to be 6 members of the household. The addition opened up and expanded the kitchen and provided a great new dining area with a bay window and beautifully detailed bench seating. The new family room had pocket door access to the dining room and the existing living space to allow the area to be included in the main living space or separated if the troops got too rowdy. The details in this room were all geared towards a modern beach cottage look and our clients wonder now how they ever lived in the other space. All of this and they also managed to get a new screened porch with an open vault ceiling and a new expanded deck to make a seamless transition from inside to outside living. This project significantly increased the value of the home as well as increasing the overall comfort and practicality of the house.
